The owner and team at Address, a new estate agency in Chester, were thrilled to welcome Chester North and Neston MP, Samantha Dixon to their premises earlier this month (6 November).
Ms Dixon, who has been an MP since 1 December 2022 – and currently holds the Government post of Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Housing, Communities and Local Government), visited the newly established Chester estate agents to learn more about how Address is shaping up to change the local housing landscape.
Ms Dixon’s visit presented a wonderful opportunity for her to discuss with Address owner Mike Hannigan the challenges facing local businesses in the current economic landscape and the role that they have in supporting their local community.
As a local property guru and entrepreneur, Mike Hannigan is bringing a bold, refreshing, and community-focused approach to the local property market. From the outset, Address is committed to giving back to Chester. For every home sold, the agency will donate a minimum of £500 from its completion fee to a local charity chosen by the seller. This initiative sets the company apart in an industry often perceived as transactional rather than personal.

Mike Hannigan adds: “The support of our local MP is really important to us and will help us share our message with a wider audience. Samantha Dixon’s passion for both housing and the community really chimes with what we are trying to achieve at Address.
“I know what people are thinking, ‘not another estate agent’. But we are disrupting the market, the right way! Our community focus isn’t lip service. We would love to see every agent in Chester donating £500 from each sale to charity. That’s our starting donation and right now, we’re the only ones doing it, because we truly believe in creating something better for our local community.”
